I owe, I owe, so off to work I go

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Well, it looks like your friendly neighborhood blogger is off to Charlotte North Carolina for a month or so to do some pretty extensive lighting and sound work for a new nightclub in the area. I’ve never been there so I’m sure it will be an adventure and I’m always up for something new and challenging. For the next month or so all of my blogs will be coming to you live from my laptop in a North Carolina hotel room.

Vince Mcmahon: Buying his audience

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

How about instead of giving away money to reclaim WWE’s audience, put on some better quality shows? As a long time pro wrestling fan, I’ve watched the quality of WWE’s programming go drastically down since WCW folded. They’ve got the in ring talent but are seriously lacking in the creative department. Am I the only one who sees this?

During the mid 90’s when the monday night wars were at a fever pitch, the shows were excellent. It just goes to prove competition really really does bring out the best. Then again, if Vinnie Mac wants to give me some cash I’d surely take it!

With all the hype surrounding the new Incredible Hulk move, I’m left wondering if it’s going to live up. The last Hulk movie was quite a disappointment. With  Marvel taking more control of their properties, things are looking good as Iron Man was awesome. I guess I’ll just have to wait until friday to find out. What I am certainly looking forward to is the recently announced Avengers move slated for a 2010 release….

Break.com has a video up of a one legged little league player. This really hits home become because my 10 year old son is also has only one leg. He lost his right leg at the knee in an accident 6 years ago. If you couldn’t see the prosthetic you would never know because it had never slowed him down. I’m so proud.

Megatron is a security threat

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

We all know that Megatron is as bad as they come in the Transformers universe. Now they won’t even let his fans on planes for fear of a “security risk”. Well at least Starscream is a jet so he won’t have these problems.

I’m not kidding, the article is here

A Real Guitar Hero

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

The world has lost a true guitar hero. It greatly saddens me to know that Bo Diddley has died. He is gone but will never be forgotten for his immense contributions to the music world.
