Playing with my Wii

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

Just got my new Nintendo Wii today and I have been up all night playing with it, so far I am very impressed with thenintendo wii games and the way the joy stick interacts with them but I do have some complaints about the graphics for the games because in my opinion they could look a lot better. I do give the Nintendo Wii two thumbs up for a very innovative product but it seems like more of a system my kids are going to be into rather than me.

Probably will still get another gaming system just have not made up my mind which to ge next the XBOX or Play Station 3, when I figure it out I ll let you know.

Meditation tips for today

Friday, January 18th, 2008

From a post about mediation at the worpal blogs site.

 2. Be open to non-traditional meditation. Meditation doesn’t have to be done in a seated position. Any activity in which you can slow down your mind, become more inwardly focused and more rooted in the present moment will pass the test for meditation.

I agree. Meditation can include whatever you want. It just needs to be a way to slow down the mind and take the focus off the mundane. Some people like candles, I prefer low LED lighting. Some people wantzero gravity chair relaxation some Japanese flute music, I like ambient techno from Stephen Halpern. The point is, take 30 minutes for your self. Sharpen the saw as Stephen Covey says, and you’ll see it when you believe it. There is a reason that Wayne Dyer meditates everyday, and it’s not to waste time.

Turn that TV off. Use Tivo if you have to, or a DVR and save it for Sunday. In the meantime, don’t save your meditation for Sunday, take care of your spiritual needs everyday.

The long way home

Saturday, January 12th, 2008

You know it’s bad when you take the long way home, or the long way anywhere really. I guess it’s worse for me to take the long way to work. I remember the good times when I was rushing to get home, or rushing to get to work, because I loved it. Now I almost relieved if there is a construction delay, or missed flight at the airport. It gives me time.

Now so much time away from the things I love, it just gives me some time to myself, of which I have had none lately. It seems with all the craziness of two jobs and the family to contend with, there is never any time left for me. So I enjoy taking the long way home, or long way to travel anywhere.

Perhaps if there was less traveling and more time to the self, it would be more exciting to go to where we are going.

An automated business

Friday, January 11th, 2008

Have been looking to start an online business and wanted to start one that made a lot of money and required very little if not no time to run. An automated business that can sell things for me while I m working on my other businesses. I have been looking around at several different business models to choose to run with and I am looking forward to watching them grow.

over the next couple of months I will share some of my business ideas and talk about eh different reasons why i choose to use them as money making businesses for me.

Which is the strongest currency

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Was looking around onlinr for the strongest currency since the United States dollar is falling I am looking to invest my money into a stonger curency one that is more likely to stay stable over the next decade or two so that I do not have to worry about losing any of my hard earned money.

From what I can tell online the strongest curency is the British Pound followed by the Euro which makes me wonder which of the two i should invest heavily in and which one light in, when I figure it out I will post my decision so everyone else can learn from it I hope.

Gas equals more money plus more time equals more money

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

The cost of gas has made things cost more. I think everyone is aware that all kinds of things in our lives are more expensive, but there is also a cost in time. The cost in time is the real issue for me, and it is one that is often overlooked.

For one costing more money means that I spend more time working for the gas companies and less time working for my retirement, which is a hige cost of time, just by spending more of my income, and therefor time for the gas companies.

Another cost factor for me and I am sure many other people is time spent filling up and running into and out of the gas station. I use to stop by and say put $20 on pump 10. Well, over the course of the year, I have to stop and put $20 in more often, which is a huge cost of time over the year. I have also noticed more people stopping more often which slows down things at the gas station and costs us all more time. How much time? Add it up.

Much love for the submit army

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

I found these folks on myspace, some random friend of a friend that had a cool cartoon like avatar for their profile pics, and found that there is a whole group of submit army initiates among them. One of my faves is the general pic. They have a myspace page dedicated to making submit army banners and stuff to promote the subversion. It may all just be a viral ad for their funny and sometimes offensive t-shirts and stuff which they sell at offend all, but I like it.

The whole concept is cool, and I do hope it is working for them. offend all submit army splash
