Have to leave Sunday morning for the Chicago trade show. One thing I learned a long time ago about business travel and leaving a loved one at home. Never whistle while you are packing your suitcase – no matter how much you are looking forward to going away, the ones you leave behind have to believe that you have deep regrets at leaving them home.
Chicago is my all time favorite big city, so it will be hard to look too remorseful about going. I know that I’ll be exhausted at the end of each day from being on the concrete floor of the convention center and on my feet all day. Not only your feet hurt after the long days – even your back hurts. So I like to have a massage in Chicago after the end of the day’s show and before a nice dinner so I can relax and get ready for the next day’s work.
