Age Wave
By Ed. Filed in Business, Education, Health, Life |Back in the days of my database marketing career, the owner of the company I worked for was very interested in marketing to senior citizens. If you look at the demographics of our country, at some point in the future, the number of older people ages 65 and up, will outnumber the younger people. That has never happened before and it will have a huge impact on everyone’s daily lives.
That is why we became interested in Ken Dychtwald and his book called, “Age Wave.” In this book, written almost 30 years ago, Dychtwald was a true visionary in predicting how the aging American population would change the lifestyles of everyone in out country.
We met with Dychtwald many times and I was interested to see that he recently released a documentary called, “The Boomer Century” that was aired on PBS. A lot of what he talked about when he met with us has become true. I hope to see his documentary and compare notes with that, as well.
