Rained Out?

All afternoon we have been hearing about severe weather warnings. I suspect that the big annual fireworks display is going to be rained out. This will be the first time in my memory that we have had rain on the Fourth of July that affected the display downtown.
Hopefully the bad weather will stay north of us and the fireworks will go on as scheduled for 9:00 pm. There are thousands of people downtown already who have planned their whole day around the free concerts on the riverfront and the 20 minutes fireworks show tonight.
We have not yet decided if we want to drive downtown and brave the weather or just watch it on TV. As it gets closer to 8:00 we’ll have to make a decision one way or another.
