Why do people have to talk so much about other people?
No, forget that question, why they do is not as important as to why people listen to them. I have to agree with those who say the ones that participate in the listening of gossip are as guilty as those who spread it. I am guilty of listening to gossip at times as well, but I do ask myself questions about the person spreading rumors. I ask myself why they are saying what they say, and I ask myself what they will be saying about me when I am not around.
Something we all need to work on.
